New Mexico Railway Museum

‘HO’ & HOn3 – NAILSEA MRC

The model is intended to represent the, fictitious but plausible, “New Mexico Railroad Museum” in the city of Santa Fe.

In reality Santa Fe was only served by the narrow gauge until the 1940’s when the line from Antonito was abandoned.

The layout assumes that the narrow gauge survived and still delivers the supplies for the museum and other local industries; the standard gauge locomotives just parade about as exhibits. This, of course, gives the excuse to run anything on the standard gauge trackage.

The track is built from commercially available flexible track with hand built point work using ‘soldered on copper-clad’ construction.
