Railroad

Crossing

Guest Layout;

North American 'HO'

RAILROAD CROSSING is built to HO scale (3.5mm to 1foot), it is set somewhere in North America on the

CSX Transportation network, in the present day. It is a switching puzzle type layout using a simple card

system to make the operating quiet demanding. The size and shape has been set by my car roof box.

Trackwork and point motors are PECO, Buildings are a collection of prebuilts by Woodland Scenics,

Walthers and Bachmann, grass has been done using the static  method, with Green Scene products and

applicator. A Digitrax DCC system is used, locomotives are either sound equipped or make use of the sound

unit located in one of the buildings. Only five freight cars fit on the layout, from various manufactures, all

fitted with metal wheels, Kadee couplings and weighted to MNRA guidance. A Rix Produces uncoupling

tool is used. Signs have been reproduced from the real ones found on the internet.
